The Health Ministry’s consultation with state hospitals, the police force and fire brigade for the “Test to Stay” coronavirus system currently applied at schools to get extended to these services as well begins soon.
This is what Philenews reports, adding that the “test to stay” measure will now also apply to the National Guard following a Cabinet decision on Wednesday.
Insiders also said that the system will gradually be extended to the whole public service.
In addition, the Cabinet has also approved small changes to the Covid-19 measures in place.
These include the lifting of the prohibition of entry in food and drink establishments and theatres to unvaccinated minors between 12 and 17 years of age.
New measures also include changes to the criteria for employees of homes for the elderly.
And a reduction to five months for the allowed time that can elapse before a booster shot is required.
