A sunny and hot weekend is in store, with temperatures set to rise to above the average for the time of year by Sunday.
According to the Met Office, the weather on Friday will be mainly fine with temperatures reaching 39 C inland, 31 C on the west coast, 33 C on remaining coasts and 27 C in the mountains.
Tomorrow the weather will be mainly clear with temperatures seen at 39 C inland, around 32 C on the west coast, around 33 C on the remaining coasts and around 30 C in the mountains.
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday will remain mainly fair, with increased cloud cover expected in the mountains and inland at noon and in the afternoon of Tuesday.
Temperatures will edge up a little by Sunday to remain above the average for the time of year.
