Temperatures are set to drop further on Friday with the possibility of isolated showers or storms mainly inland and in the mountains later in the day.
The met office said the day will start off finr with localised increased clouds, becoming gradually and at intervals cloudy with isolated showers and or storms.
Maximum temperatures inland will be 33 C inland, 29 C on the west coast, around 31 C on remaining coasts and 22 C in the mountains.
Over the weekend and Monday, clouds will form with the possibility of local rain or isolated storms in the afternoon mainly in the mountains and inland.
Hail is possible in the event of a storm. Temperatures will remain at the same levels, which are average for this time of year.
Maximum temperatures on Thursday were 36 C in Nicosia, 32 C in Larnaca and Polis Chyrsochous, 31 C in Limassol, 30 C in Paphos and Paralimni and 23 C in Prodromos.
Humidity ranged from 35% in Nicosia to 65% in Paphos.
