Temperatures up over the next three days, dust on Monday

Relevant News

The summer is still very much with us, as a low pressure system affecting Cyprus subsides tomorrow and a warm air current will take temperatures much higher than average for this time of year.

Fine skies initially today, turning partly cloudy at intervals, but later in the day isolated light showers are possible, over the mountains.

Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly and over the morning in the east, light variable, turning moderate force three to four and in the afternoon over southern and northern coastal regions, locally to strong force four to five, over moderate seas, with calm to slight seas in the morning over the south and east.

Temperatures will rise to 34 degrees Celsius inland, 29 in western coastal regions, 31 in the rest of the coastal areas and 25 over the mountains.

Fine skies this evening, with initially moderate and then light winds, force three over calm to slight seas.

Temperatures will drop to 21 degrees Celsius inland and in coastal regions and 16 over the mountains.

Temperatures will gradually go up over the next couple of days, much higher than the seasonal average, with even thin dust expected on Monday.

There will be no significant changes through to Tuesday, at least temperature wise.
