Temperatures on the up, 35 today as dust remains


A warm air current is still affecting the region, with thin dust persisting in the atmosphere and not clearing before Monday.

Clear skies initially today with high cloud and turning partly overcast during the day.

Winds will be light to moderate northeasterly to southeasterly, force three to four, over slight seas.

Temperatures will rise to 35 degrees Celsius inland, 30 on the north coast, 32 in the rest of the coastal regions and 26 over the mountains.

Overcast this evening, with the possibility of light showers and thunder.

Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly and in areas, light southwesterly and gradually moderate force three to four.

Temperatures will drop to 18 Celsius inland, the western and northern coastal regions, 20 in the rest of the coastal areas and 14 on the mountains.

Tomorrow, overcast skies might bring isolated showers or a storm over the mountains, but early next week will see mostly clear skies, through to Wednesday.

Temperatures are set to remain much higher than the seasonal average, mainly inland and on the mountains.
