The expert advisory committee on Coronavirus will recommend to the government the reopening of kindergartens and nurseries in the first ten days of June, its member Dr Petros Karayiannis said on Thursday according to philenews.

Speaking on a televised talk show, Karayiannis said that the decision was taken last night during a video conference of the epidemiological team.

But the final decision lies with the government, he emphasised.

He also explained that the risk of transmission of Coronavirus in pre-school is limited as per the data so far.

“There will also be special protocols that will be put together especially for kindergarten teachers so that they are prepared,” Karayiannis added.

On gyms, he said that one conversation took place and the manual of the gyms association has been studied. The team will prepare their comments, he added, and they will rediscuss possibly on Saturday at a new video conference.
