A suspicious monkeypox case was recorded on Tuesday evening at Paphos General Hospital and it concerns a 34-year-old foreign man, according to Philenews.
The man who had a rash on his face and body had gone to the city hospital himself. He was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital which is the reference one for the highly contagious disease.
Further tests are under way to determine whether it is a monkeypox case, indeed. If yes, this will be the first one recorded in Cyprus.
