Sunny and very hot on Thursday with the Met Service issuing an orange alert for extremely high temperatures till 5pm.
Winds will be variable, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort over smooth to slight sea waters.
The temperature will rise to 44 degrees Celsius inland, 35 C in the mountains, the west and south coast, 37 C in the east coast and to 39 C in the north coast.
The fire hazard is extremely high, according to the Forestry Department.
