Summer is here to stay in Cyprus with the temperature over the weekend expected to reach 40 C inland, Philenews reports citing the Met Service.
It also said that Thursday’s temperature is already three to four degrees higher than the season’s average.
Specifically, it will rise to 34 degrees Celsius inland, 31 C over western and southwestern coastal areas, 34 C in all other coastal areas and 28 C in the mountains.
As for the weekend, the temperature is expected to be at least six degrees higher than normal.
In fact, it will rise to 40 C inland and between 36 C to 38 C in coastal areas.
Humidity, especially in the coast, will also be extremely high.
