The Fire Service just managed to put out a fire that threatened the Gymnasium of Polis Chrysochous this morning.
The fire that threatened the school broke out in a nearby field where the students were using crackers and smoke device to celebrate the end of the school year.
However, due to the dry weeds the fire quickly extended toward the school.
Thankfully the immediate intervention of the Fire Service restored calm.
Investigations continue.
