Strong Chinese interest for investment in the first high-tech science and technology park in Pentakomo, Limassol district, has been expressed, Philenews reported on Monday.
Citing the Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the report also said the strong interest has prompted the government to proceed with faster procedures.
That’s why is has decided to give the green light for a public consultation on this rather than following the failed practice of opening of tenders.
The public consultation for the Technology Park in Pentakomo in anticipation of investment interest will be presented on Wednesday, January 25 at 4pm at the coastal city’s Chamber offices.
The last day for submitting proposals/comments is Friday, February 25 at 2pm via e-mail sent to: [email protected].
The Ministry of Energy believes that, through this procedure, the reasons for the lack of interest expressed by investors seeking direct award of the project during the tendering process will be overcome.
Once the proposals and comments from the public consultation are recorded, the final say will be given to the Minister of Energy who will point out how the procedure will continue.
