A 29-year-old Serbian man died early on Saturday after being hit by a car on the road outside a pub on Limassol’s seafront, Philenews reports.
Traffic police said the victim appears to have entered the road before the pedestrian crossing which was a few metres away from the accident scene.
He was hit by a car driven by a 29-year-old Greek Cypriot who has tested negative to alcohol or drug use around 3am.
Police are examining testimony taken by people who were in the same pub where the 29-year-old Serbian was a patron.
Insiders said that an argument in the between the victim and another person had preceded his rushed exit from the pub.
The driver of the vehicle which hit the foreign man seems to have not seen him and dragged him for some distance before realizing what happened.
