Maria Koliou, member of the advisory scientific committee, said that the measures of the obligatory use of the protective mask is satisfactory so far.
Speaking to state broadcaster, Maria Koliou explained that the mask can contain the transmission and is seen as a satisfactory measure since despite the increase of hospitalizations, the number of intubated persons has not increased so far. This, she said, is due to immunity from the vaccines and illnesses as well as to the fact that mutations that have prevailed have milder symptoms.
Regarding the forth dose of the vaccine against Covid-19, she said that older and vulnerable people must have it to get more protection.
