Schools in Limassol are in alert situation due to the fact that there have been increased confirmed cases of the virus there. Positive cases have been found both among the students and among the teachers.
Up until yesterday at noon there were 70 confirmed cases that were detected in seven schools of the District of Limassol.
Speaking about the issue, an officials said that the problem is mainly found in young children going to elementary school, who might have been infected by their afternoon activities.
He also said that another problem is the transportation of students by bus and the fact that in some cases students did not wear masks.
The official noted that the rapid tests to teachers and high-school students helping the spreading of the pandemic.
