Port police rescued a Russian couple who drifted out to sea on their paddle boards, near Yiannakis Beach off the Akamas on Sunday afternoon.
Police said the couple, who live in Limassol, drifted out to sea some 4 nautical miles from the shore because of the strong winds and signaled for help.
Port police went out with the police launch Ayia Irene and brought them safely back to shore.
