A 48-year-old Romanian man on Friday afternoon drowned in Limassol after trying to save a child who was in danger at sea near Crowne Plaza, according to Philenews.
Police said the man did not hesitate to jump in the water the moment he saw the child, who is in good health, struggling in the sea.
An ambulance took both the man and the child to Limassol General Hospital where his death was confirmed.
