Residents living near Larnaca Hospital on Wednesday staged a protest near the town’s army camp near where 60 trees were recently felled to clear the site for the construction of a mall.
They told Philenews that not only around 300 trees would be cut, but their lives would be negatively affected by the anticipated traffic.
Taking part in the protest was the deputy president of the Greens Efi Xanthou who said the area should be remain a green area.
