The Fire Department on Wednesday, issued an alert over a fire, which broke out at Kotsiatis landfill in Nicosia causing toxic fumes, Philenews reports.
Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis said the toxic fumes are from the garbage in the landfill and that firemen are doing their best to put it out.
He also said that there is an unpleasant odor in the area due to the burnt material.
