Members of the public assisted by police officers stepped in to help rescue a German Shepherd that was hit by a car on the Larnaca highway, near Livadhia/Oroklini and lay injured in a ditch near the road.
The driver of the car did not stop. But other drivers did. Police was brought in to help and the dog was taken to a vet for treatment.
She did not have a microchip or a collar and efforts are underway to find her owner.
