Proposal for “Test to Stay” system’s extension to other state services before Cabinet

A proposal for the extension of the “Test to Stay” at schools system to other state services such as the Police Force and hospitals goes before the Cabinet for approval on Wednesday.

Health Minister Michalis Hadjipantelas said on Tuesday that health experts advising the government on Covid-19 proposed the introduction in other sectors of the economy such as hospitals, the Police and the Fire Service.

The Minister had a meeting with the experts on Tuesday afternoon, and insiders said the Cabinet is expected to approve it along with other minor relaxations, including the lifting of the dancing ban in nightclubs.

On the contrary, no relaxation recommendation with regard to the unvaccinated should be expected, while there will be no recommendation from the epidemiologists for stricter measures.
