Despite the problems that the pandemic is creating in all sectors of our everyday lives, the project of a modern central station of transportation in Paphos continues at a quick pace. The project in fact marks the beginning of the procedures for turning Paphos into a smart city, since the planning for modern public transportation will have a main role in the case of cities becoming smart cities.
The central station will serve all 173 bus stops which have been divided into three categories depending whether the bus-stops can cover 8 or 4 passengers who are waiting or whether they are simply points without a cover but only a sign.
The new covers will be according to European models, will offer wi-fi, will include screens projecting advertisements and the bus routes.
