Problems continue about afternoon/weekend operation of state hospitals

Private personal doctors do not want to participate in the afternoon/weekend operation program of public hospitals and prefer the state health centers. On the other hand, the state health services organisation (Okypy) prefers to give the state hospital outpatient clinics and not the state health centers. Furthermore, public doctors do not accept the presence of private doctors and claim that private doctors should use their own offices, something that the private doctors reject.

This is the scene formed after the yesterday’s all-hands meeting on the issue under Health Minister Michael Hadjipantelas, which has not reached any decision about when the weekend operation of state hospitals will begin since each side insists on its position.
