President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiades is waiting for the verdict of Attorney General George Savvides, regarding the new draft laws that the House Plenum approved on 14 July, providing further tax discounts to households due to increased prices of electricity and fuel.
A relevant government source told Phileleftheros that the Presidential Palace is waiting for the Legal Service which is examining whether the legislation is against the Constitution or the European acquis.
The President has 15 days from the date he received the draft laws to decide whether to sign them, so it is expected that next week at the latest, the final decisions will be made.
