POVEK, the Cyprus Confederation of Professional Craftsmen and Shopkeepers, is organizing a big protest on Wednesday 18 November at 15:00, outside the Presidential Palace, requesting solution to problems like reduction of rents, suspension of evictions and forced sales of residences. They are also requesting direct support to businesses and suspension of installments to specific business categories.
According to their announcement, thousands of small-to-medium businesses are seeing only losses for almost a year now and are uncertain about their future, so POVEK decided to take drastic measures to demand solution to their problems.
