Police are launching a week long safety campaign targeting drunk driving.
In an announcement, it said that the campaign will start on Monday and continue to Sunday.
During the campaign, police will also be checking drivers’ documents and any other traffic violations.
Drunk driving is one of the main factors for road fatalities in Cyprus.
EU-wide, 25% of road fatalities are attributed to driving under the influence of alcohol.
