Police carried out a number of raids in Limassol overnight as they stepped up efforts to fight crime, searching homes and other buildings, including the club houses of Apollon and Ael football fans.
A police spokesman said there were six arrests in Limassol. A police operation in Paphos led to the arrest of a 30 year old man suspected of a series of burglaries, he added. The suspect is due to appear in court later on Thursday to be remanded in custody.
