Following the radical increase of COVID-19 confirmed cases, the Police leadership decided to take immediate and effective measures to stop the spreading of the virus and to protect its members. According to information, extraordinary measures have been implemented both to the office staff of the Police and the Fire Service, who following instructions will be working on alternate shifts in order to limit the number of persons in the office each time.
So far there have been 15 confirmed COVID-19 cases among policemen, and the force is monitoring the situation closely.
Moreover, eight members of the force who have been in contact with a woman held in custody who tested positive to the virus remain in self-isolation.
Local Police Stations accept visits by the public provided all self-protection measures are respected.
