Ten citizens and one establishment owners were reported by Police for violations of COVID-19 measures during the last 24 hours after 2,471 checks throughout the government-controlled areas.
The Cyprus Police Press Office told CNA that in Nicosia, from 1,330 checks there were no reports while in Limassol after 146 checks, four citizens and one establishment owner were reported. In Larnaka the Police conducted 455 checks and two citizen were fined and in Famagusta in 347 checks, 2 citizens were fined. The Police made 59 checks in Paphos and 2 citizens were fined. In Morphou in a total of 31 checks no violations were found.
Traffic Department made 103 checks and no violations were found.
At a carpet store in Limassol, the inspection identified a customer without a valid safepass and and a fine of € 500 was imposed.
