Nicosia police are investigating a case of arson after a cafeteria in the centre of the capital sustained serious damage in a fire that broke out at around 5.30 am on Sunday.
The cafeteria is situated on Stasicratous street.
First reports suggest the fire was set deliberately after investigators found traces of flammable material on the scene.
The scene has been cordoned off and investigations continue.
