A 47 year old police officer, and two other people — a father (43) and a sonĀ (19)– are under arrest as police probe a case of suspected witness tampering and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The arrests followed an investigation by police’s internal affairs unit. CyBC TV said that the police officer is suspected of trying to persuade colleagues not to proceed with the prosecution of the young man over traffic offences.
