Police fined 38 individuals and three establishments all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violation of measures aiming to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
The Force carried out a total of 2,949 checks, CNA said on Wednesday.
In Nicosia, 618 checks were carried out with 5 individuals and 2 shop owners getting fines while in Limassol 319 checks were carried out with 16 individuals reported.
In Larnaca, one individual was reported following 620 checks while in Pafos 5 individuals and one establishment owner were reported after 378 checks.
In Famagusta, 682 checks were carried out with 11 individuals reported, while in Morphou no violations were found during 97 checks.
Furthermore, the Traffic Department and the Marine and Port Police carried out 204 and 31 checks respectively with no fines issued.
