Police issue 19 fines in 24 hours for breach of Covid measures

Police booked 13 individuals and six establishments all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for breach of measures aiming to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The force had carried out a total of 1,671 inspections, according to the CNA.

In Nicosia, 5 individuals and 4 establishments owners were reported following 392 checks, while in Limassol 3 persons and 1 establishment were reported after 180 checks.

In Larnaca, there were 385 checks out of which 1 establishment was reported, while in Pafos no one was reported after 89 checks.

In Famagusta, there were 361 checks with 5 people being reported and in Morphou there were 105 checks, with no one being reported.

Also, the Traffic Police as well as the Port and Marine Police made 133 and 26 checks respectively all over Cyprus, without finding any violations.
