Police issue 136 fines in 24 hours for breach of covid measures

Police fined 130 citizens and six establishments all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for breach of measures aiming to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The Force had carried out a total of 11,144 checks, according to the Cyprus News Agency.

In Nicosia, out of 2,282 inspections 22 citizens and one establishment were booked.

In Limassol, out of 3,481 inspetions 47 citizens and three establishments were booked.

In Larnaca, police carried out a total of 1,432 checks and fined 21 citizens.

In Paphos, out of 1,375 inspections 24 citizens and one establishment were fined.

In Famagusta,  out of 1,229 inspections four citizens were booked.

In Morphou, police carried out 652 inspections and booked no one.

In Addition, Port and Marine police conducted 61 checks without booking anyone.
