Police fined 125 citizens and one establishment all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for breach of measures aiming to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The Force had carried out a total of 7,200 checks, according to CNA.
In Nicosia, out of 1,342 inspections 20 people were fined, in Limassol 1,341 checks led to 53 citizens getting booked.
In Larnaca, out of 1,258 inspections 12 people were fined and
out of 701 checks in Ppahos 17 citizens and a shop owner were fined.
In Famagusta, 979 checks led to 13 people getting fines and in Morphou a total of 879 checks led to one citizen getting booked.
Moreover, Port and Marine Police carried out a total of 56 checks and reported no one.
