Police booked six establishments and 21 individuals all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violation of measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
They had carried out a total of 1,017 inspections, and most fines were handed for not wearing face masks.
In Nicosia, 261 inspections were carried out, in Limassol 165, in Larnaca 170, in Paphos 143, in Famagusta 118 and in Morphou 100.
Six individuals were fined in Nicosia, five individuals and one establishment in Limassol, one estiblishment and eight individuals in Larnaca, four establishments in Paphos, one individual in Famagusta and one individual in Morphou area.
In addition, marine and port police carried out 60 inspections and fined no one.
