Police fine 9 for breach of Covid rules as further restrictions are lifted

Police fined nine individuals all across Cyprus in the last 24 hours after 2,756 checks for violation of Covid-19 measures.

This is what CNA reported on Monday, adding that two people were fined in Nicosia after 352 checks.

In Limassol, no one was fined after 277 checks and in Larnaca three individuals were booked after after 426 checks.

Another 4 individuals were booked after 420 checks in Famagusta area.

No fines were issued after checks in the Morphou area and by the Traffic Police, after 135 and 177 checks, respectively.

Moreover, as of Monday, the “test to stay” measure in kindergartens, pre-primary schools and special schools for children aged 3 years and above came into implementation.

Also, the ban on the overnight stay of tenants outside senior people’s homes and closed structures has been lifted.

Also lifted is the ban on school trips, based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

All existing measures are I force until March 31.
