Police fined three establishments and 12 individuals all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for breach of measures aiming to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The Force had carried out a total of 1,856 inspections island-wide, according to the CNA.
In Nicosia, after 501 checks no violation was reported, while in Limassol two establishments and six individuals were fined after a total of 172 checks.
In Larnaca, after 433 inspections one individual was fined and, in Famagusta, after 335 checks three individuals were booked.
In Paphos, 85 inspections led to two individuals getting fines and, in Morphou, after 207 checks one establishment was booked.
Specifically, a fine of €1,500 was issued in Morphou against a bank for not checking the safepass of customers.
In Limassol, fines were issued against a supermarket and a bakery for not checking the safepass of customers. The fines were of 1,500 euros each.
