Police carried out a total of 3,946 inspections all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours and fined 23 individuals and six establishments for violation of measures aiming to contain the spread of Covid-19.
A police spokesperson also told CNA that 1,461 checks were carried out in Nicosia with one establishment getting fined.
In Limassol, 14 people were fined after 270 checks, while 570 checks in Larnaca led to 3 citizens getting fines.
In Pafos, police carried out 372 checks and booked one individual and 5 establishments.
In Famagusta, out of 721 checks 5 people and 4 establishments were fined.
In Morphou, out of 228 checks no fines were issued.
Moreover, Port and Marine Police also did not hand out any fines after carrying out 38 checks.
