Police fined 10 individuals and six shop owners all across Cyprus in the past 24 hours for violating measures aiming to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Force carried out a total of 2.144 checks island-wide, according to CNA.
In Nicosia, the Police carried out 687 checks reporting 4 persons and 5 shop owners and in Limassol 184 checks were carried out with 2 persons booked.
In Larnaca, 1 person was fined following 498 checks, in Pafos 1 shop owner was reported after 153 checks and in Famagusta 3 persons were fined after 388 checks.
In Morphou area, no fines were issued after 133 checks.
Fines were issued to establishment owners and clients for not having a SafePass.
