Police fined 16 individuals and one establishment all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violation of measures aiming to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
The Force had carried out 3,667 checks island-wide, according to the CNA.
In Nicosia, police carried out 1,557 checks and reported three individuals, while in Limassol four individuals and one establishment got booked after 258 checks.
In Larnaca, three individuals were booked after 750 checks, and in Pafos five individuals were reported after 199 checks.
In Famagusta, one individual was booked following 296 checks and in Morphou 233 checks were carried out with no fines issued.
