The Police in Paphos arrested a 61-year-old for breaking into a house and stealing various things, which he then attempted to sell.
According to the Police spokesman, on 28 July, a 48-year-old made a complaint that his house had been broken into and that various valuable objects like silverware, old bank notes and coins and other similar things had been stolen.
On Sunday, 31 July and following a tip, members of the Police went to a fair in Timi where they found the 61-year-old with the items he had stolen exhibited for sale. Several of the items were identified as the ones stolen from the 48-year-old’s house.
The man was arrested and during interrogation he named a 40-year-old, permanent resident of Cyprus, as the person who had given him the items. An arrested warrant has been issued against the 40-year-old and investigations continue.
