Police said that 37 irregular migrants have been found in the government controlled areas — 19 in the Morphou area and the remainder in Nicosia.
A police spokesman told the Cyprus News Agency that 22 of the 37 are underage.
According to police, 19 individuals — 18 men and one woman — were picked up in the Morphou area. One of them is a minor.
Another 18 individuals, of whom 4 are women and 14 minors, came through the Ledra Palace checkpoint in Nicosia.
All have been taken to the Kokkinotrimithia reception centre.
