Pissouri residents staged today a protest rally to highlight the problems related to subsiding ground in their area, to force the authorities to act.
The protest was organised by the local community council, having seen many Pissouri residents abandoning their houses because of the problems.
Protesters are demanding compensation for the loss of their property and are seeking support from the state to enable them to rebuild their lives.
The protest began at 10.00 today and Pissouri residents closed the Limassol-Paphos motorway in both directions.
