Police and locals are trying to help people who have been trapped inside their cars in Troodos-Platres road on Friday morning, CNA reports.
The people were trying to access the area without using anti-skid chains and are now trapped on the left-hand side of the road.
Also, a jeep vehicle rolled over and fell into a ditch.
No people were injured.
Police urges people who want to visit Troodos, to use vehicles with four-wheel drive or anti-skid chains.
The roads Platania-Karvounas, Kakopetria-Prodromos, Pedoulas-Prodromos, Prodromos-Troodos, Prodromos-Trooditissa, Pedoulas-Pinewoood-Kakopetria, Pedoulas-Kykkos, Prodromos-Lemythou are slippery, police said.
