Philenews received a complaint by a patient saying that a private hospital refused to treat her while she was having an allergic reaction because, according to her, the hospital’s management found out that she owed them money from a previous surgery she had done at the hospital.
Specifically, the patient went to the First Aid section of a private hospital while she was having an allergic reaction due to a dog bite. While the nurse was registering her, she ascertained that there was an amount pending from a previous surgery that her insurance company should have paid. As the woman says, she had never received any letter or been informed of the issue.
Moreover, the management refused to speak with her on the phone or make any arrangements about the amount due since the patient could not pay on the spot.
Due to the fact that she reacted, she was kicked out of the hospital.
The next day she called to complain and even though she was promised that someone would contact her, this has not happened.
