Today will be partly cloudy, with some showers expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain and strong winds are forecast on Thursday.
In its early morning weather bulletin, the Met Office said high pressure is affecting the area, with weak low pressure expected tomorrow and a low pressure system forecast from Thursday night.
Monday will be partly cloudy and at intervals cloudy. Temperatures will rise to 18 C inland and on the coasts and around 11 C in the mountains.
Tonight will be partly cloudy and at intervals cloudy mainly with medium and high altitude cloud. Temperatures will fall to 6 C inland, around 9 C on the coast and around 1 C in the mountains where locally there will be frost.
Tuesday will be mainly cloudy with the possibility of light, local showers in the morning. Local rain or isolated thunderstorms are forecast in the afternoon and evening while in the higher Troodos peaks there will be snowfall at intervals.
Wednesday will see intervals of fine weather and intervals of cloud, with light local showers or light snowfall at intervals in the higher Troodos peaks.
Thursday will be partly cloudy and at intervals cloudy with local rain and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening. There will be snowfall at intervals in the higher Troodos peaks while at night there will be locally very strong southwesterly winds.
Temperatures will edge down on Tuesday to close to average for the time of year, then rise a little.
At the time of issue of the early morning weather bulletin, the depth of snow at Troodos Square was 77Â cm.
