The House plenum on Friday passed into law the amended bill on rent control which basically reduces the eviction process for tenants refusing to pay rent.
It was passed with 31 votes in favour, 15 against and two abstentions.
The new law regulates out-of-court settlements in disputes over property rental agreements.
It is expected to resolve cases in which tenants do not keep their side of the agreement in a matter of months rather than years.
The law will not be retrospective or have affect over cases which are currently in a court of law.
