Photos of children covered with a rash after swimming in Ladies Mile, a popular beach outside Limassol, has been making the rounds on social media.
One parent posted a photograph of his son covered in a rash he said was due to insect bites. With it was the advice: “Do not take your children to Ladies Mile. This is what happened to my son.”
Others chipped in to agree that they too had suffered the same experience, posting photographs.
The British Bases, under whose jurisdiction the beach falls, said they had not received any formal complaints of insect bites at Ladies Mile.
