A 35 year old man has been booked for driving six times over the legal limit.
Police said that ten minutes after midnight, Famagusta traffic police had stopped a driver for checks on Ayia Varvara street in Paralimni.
The initial breathalyser test read 130 mg instead of 22 which is the legal limit. He was taken to Famagusta traffic police where he tested 131 mg.
He was charged in writing to appear in court at a later date.
