Police have arrested three men aged 28, 31 and 42 after stopping and searching a rental car in Peyia and finding property believed to have been stolen.
The car was stopped at midday on Monday. In it police found mobile telephones, a small amount of cash, glasses, shoes and other items for which the suspects could not give adequate explanation.
On the same day, a 47 year old woman reported to police that someone had broken the window of her car as it was parked in Peyia and stolen a number of personal items which she recognised as the property found in the suspects’ car.
Peyia police are investigating.
